“To mark its centenary the London Chorus (formerly the London Choral Society) launched the season with a towering performance of Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius... The 160-strong choir reached the parts of the Festival Hall other voices often can’t”

Anthony Holden (The Observer)

Welcome to the London Chorus website - thank you for visiting us!

The 2007/8 season is proving to be as varied as ever.  It has already included a performance of Mozart’s C Minor Mass, together with premieres of works by Anne Collis and Ronald Corp, and members of the choir have also taken part in Video Games Live at the Festival Hall, and backed Rhydian on The X-Factor! A significant highlight has been our performance of Bach’s St Matthew Passion, and the season closes with two further world premiere performances at the 2008 English Music Festival, and David Fanshawe’s evergreen African Sanctus at the newly restored St Martin-in-the-Fields. See the 2007/8 page for details of all these.

Tickets are also now available for the first concert in our 2008/9 season, a performance of Handel’s Israel in Egypt at the Cadogan Hall on 24th September.
